I'm supposed to do 3 weeks of the optifast liquid diet. But my job was handing out free cheesecake and chicken nuggets on the very second day in and I caved. :( I guess my diet will only be 2 weeks and 6 days. :S

My bariatric center had us drink two protein shakes a day and a lean 2 oz grilled chicken for dinner with a vegetable. Plenty of water

So funny the comment about red meat being high in sulfur and a cause of stinky gas 🤦‍♂️ my wife and I did a 60 day carnivore diet consisting of grass fed beef 95% with some fish/chicken/crab/lamb on occasion the biggest thing we both noticed besides fast weight loss was, after the initial adjustment phase (2-3 days of diarrhea, where your body gets used to burning fat for energy rather than sugar/carbs) we no longer had bloating, gas, and our poop didn’t stink like it use too. On the very rare occasion we had gas it was odorless. Our shit literally didn’t stink, and we don’t think that highly of ourselves 😂……but since coming into the “holidays” we both have gone of the reservation and ate the forbidden food again (carbs&plants) and were now back to being stinky poopers and tooters…. Carbs/fiber/ vegetables and grains cause stomach distress. Any good gi doctor will tell a patient that has serious stomach or intestinal issues to go on a low residue diet as it’s not as Inflammatory. Low residue diets are devoid of plant matter/fiber. Well if it’s good for someone in distress why wouldn’t it be good for someone who is healthy?

Hi OMG i needed his helps. I found out today i have to do this liquid diet for my surgery 10/10/22 I feel scared but after hearing and seeing the drinks I feel a little better. I don't want to cheat i really do6n't but i get very bad headaches and i get very weak. i get like this when i do a colonoscopy and that's for 1 day i will ask can you help with the vitamins which kinds are good i need to start buying those soon

Wow! You answered evvvvvvery single question i possibly had in one video down to the pickle juice. Wow!

The fundus does not act as a sphincter to close off the stomach. It is not physiologically programmed to do that. So you may eat food that gets stuck. The only place for it to go is up, in which you can experience a Cafe Coronary. Your food comes up and try to go do your trachea. Your epiglottis closes and you literally suffocate and choke. Surgery especially this is usually never the answer. Never. Go talk to a Interventional Gastroenterologist who has about 40 years experience who is not a surgeon. And endoscopy gastroenterologist and you will learn the truth. Never trust a surgeons opinion. All they want to do is cut. And more than likely you will either have 20 surgery residents over his/her shoulders or the residents will be doing the surgery. They have to have so many surgeries under their belt to test out of residence and into fellowship. Don’t do it.
